Lawn Care Solutions for Your Property

When we think about maintaining our property, the first thing that comes to mind is lawn care, which is visible from the outside and creates a lasting impression. It’s important to maintain our lawn properly. While it is commonly recommended to maintain the lawn at 2 inches, it is not mandatory. There are two main ways to maintain a lawn:

  1. Self Mowing
  2. Hiring a Mowing Company

Self-Mowing

Both options have their own advantages and disadvantages. Self-mowing isn’t difficult but it requires time and effort. When opting for self-mowing, you need to select the right mower that suits your lawn. There are several types of mowers available for mowing the lawn, some of which are discussed below:

  • Push Mower: As the name suggests, this type of mower is manually pushed across the lawn. It is suitable for smaller lawns and is generally less expensive than other types of mowers.
  • Riding Mower: This type of mower is suitable for larger plots and commercial areas. It requires less physical effort but is more expensive than push mowers. Additionally, since it is gas-powered, there is an extra cost for fuel.
  • Electric Mower: Electric mowers are becoming increasingly popular as they are eco-friendly and easy to use. They require less maintenance and are cost-effective compared to riding mowers. There are two types of electric mowers – with a cord and cordless.
  • Robotic Mower: Robotic mowers are the latest innovation among mower types and require no physical involvement. However, they are more expensive and initial setup is needed for first-time use.

String Trimmer

A string trimmer, also known as a weedwacker or weed eater, is used for cutting around obstacles, irregular portions, or to shape the edges of the lawn.

Blower

After using a string trimmer, a blower is needed to remove leaves and clippings from the lawn. There are generally two types of blowers – electric and gasoline-powered motors.

Hiring a Mowing Company

Sometimes, it is best to hire professionals to maintain your lawn. This saves you time and energy since they are familiar with local rules and regulations. Professionals use the best equipment for your lawn care needs. They can provide services ranging from mowing and trimming to fertilizing and controlling weeds all in one place. You don’t need to worry about buying equipment or finding storage for it. Professionals can also identify lawn diseases and treat them accordingly. They are also liable if any unwanted issues arise with your lawn.
